Pursuing a TB-free district( Raigad)
Strengthening National TB elimination programme infrastructure with CSR

National tuberculosis elimination programme –  District Raigad and its CSR efforts to increase and improve the quality and quantitative growth in diagnosis of tuberculosis patient and their outcome after treatment in the form of increased success rate .

From Diagnosis point of view :-

1)     3 Truenaat machine – 1 machine from Godrej company at khopoli , 2 truenaat machine at pen and khalapur respectively by Mahanagar Gas Ltd. 

·        Addition of these machines has increased the capacity of testing facility ( molecular diagnostic facility ) to almost minimum 14,400 test per year( 400 test @ each machine per month )

·        This leads to early detection of disease and starting the patient on appropriate regimen in time .

2)     Availability of Mobile X ray Van with Artificial Intelligence from Pidilite Industries ltd .

3)     Availability of Handheld X ray with Artificial Intelligence from Mahanagar Gas Ltd

·        Due to availability of both the machines the NTEP Raigad is able to reach the most distant , underserved and the most needy at their doorstep to do a Chest X ray and screen the patient effectively .

·        We are able to do 3500+ Chest X ray in tribal areas, residential schools , orphanages , prisons , slums and many such congregation sites in 100 days campaign which were earlier difficult to reach.

4)     Microscopes from Alkyl Amine chemicals – 8 such microscopes have been made available through CSR .

TB Mukt Grampanchayat Abhiyan :

1)     Branding of 35 Grampanchayat with wall graffiti technique for IEC ( Information Education and communication ) with CSR support from JNPA Nava sheva.

2)     Workshop for THO , BDO , Medical officer , Community health officer and ASHA for dissemination of details regarding TB mukt GP abhiyan with support from USEA and JSW

Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan :- Nikhsay Mitra from corporate like JNPA , Mahanagar gas , IOTL ,RCF, CIPLA , Deepak Fertilizers, Hindalco, ONGC, Tata  etc - 8012 food basket distributed with the help of corporate  to TB patients . This nutritional intervention are associated with better outcomes in TB Pateint including reduced mortality, improved weight gain and body composition,carlier sputum conversion improved pharmacokinetic s of key drugs , improved functional status and adherence to therapy.

Above mentioned all the efforts will certainly fructify and the district will march ahead on the path of making Raigad TB free
