Bijapadar Village of Kuhimal gram panchayat of tribal block Mainpur district Gariaband, electricity has reached after 76 years of independence. The villagers are extremely happy, as previously the village relied on solar energy. However, the villagers had long been demanding traditional electricity.

In response to this demand, under the implementation of the Rural Electrification Scheme, the transformer was installed in the village of Bijapadar, lighting up the lives of the villagers.

Under the Prime Minister’s Rural Electrification Scheme, efforts are being made to enhance the development of marginalized tribal communities and improve the living standards of villagers. The women of the village, not just the men, are very pleased with this facility. Expressing their gratitude toward the government, administration, and electricity department, the villagers are appreciative and satisfied with the fulfillment of their long-standing demand.
