ONE STOP CENTRE
(TIRUPPUR AND UDUMALAI)

Government of India has established a new Scheme named “One Stop Centre
(OSC)” which is intended to support women affected by violence, in private and public
spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. aWomen facing physical,
sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste,
education status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and
redressed. Aggrieved women facing any kind of violence who have reached out or been
referred to the OSC will be provided with specialized services. OSCs have been
sanctioned in all the districts with 100% financial assistance from the Government of
India for providing shelter, police desk, legal, medical and counseling services to victims
of violence under one roof integrated with a 24*7 hours Women Helpline (181). In
Tiruppur District the following two “One Stop Centre” are currently functioning.

Success Story of Cheating Case

Introduction:
One Stop Center received a call from Women Helpline 181 on 24.11.2023. In it, Raja
said that his younger sister went to Dubai to work as a beautician, but he made her dance in the
Club and forced her to wear half-dresses. He asked her to bring her sister back from Dubai
ActionTaken:
When 181 field workers spoke to the girls on phone, the information given by her brother
was revealed to be true. Also, when a girl named ZZZ (Age 18) was summoned and investigated,
she told that XXX and YYY were my friends and that they wanted to go to a dance club in Dubai
and become models. So I talked to my friend Naveen in Chennai and Naveen gave Rs.40,000/- to
Rs.80,000/- to XXX and YYY to buy passport, dress and phone for both of them to go to Dubai.
XXX and YYY were sent to Dubai with that money. After that, when the agent Naveen in
Chennai was interrogated with the help of the police department, it was revealed that ZZZ was
an agent in Tirupur and was taking money to send young girls to Dubai. Immediately upon the
action taken by the Commissioner, he spoke at a hotel in Dubai and immediately booked flight
tickets for the 2 girls and arranged for both of them to come to Chennai. 2 girls were rescued
from Chennai and handed over to their parents. ZZZ was arrested and Produced in JJP, Tirupur
DistrictCollectorate.
Serviceprovided:
Guidance and Counselling was given to the XXX and YYY about importance of
education and importance of their family life and health.
Conclusion:
In the date of 30.11.23 XXX and YYY were brought before DSWO and counselled. During
the follow-up of the case in JJP, ZZZ was undergoing in counselling at the Psychiatric
Department of the Government Medical College, Tirupur, and that she was admitted to Kalai
Paramedical College, Dharapuram. Now ZZZ is studying in that college.
Follow-up:
A few months later she in followed on the phone. She was reported to be continuing
their studies in Kalai paramedical college in Dharapuram.

BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO (BBBP)

BBBP scheme is to change the society‟s mind set over the centuries /
decades namely Sons preference and daughters aversion‟ which led to
unabated decline of the Child Sex Ratio (CSR) in census data from 1961 to
2011. Child Sex Ratio indicates the number of female children to 1000 number
of male children in the age group of 0-6 years. Data available 10 years once and
measured during census report of India. Sex Ratio at Birth (SRB) – indicates
the number of girls born for every 1,000 boys born – annual data available

Objective of the scheme :
 To celebrate the girl child and enable her educationØ
 Prevent gender biased sex selective eliminationØ
 Ensure survival and protection of the girl childØ
 Ensure education of the girl child.Ø

District Hub Empowerment Of Women

Introduction:
The District Hub Empowerment of women located at District social welfare and women
empowerment Room no:32, Ground Floor, The District Collectorate Tiruppur District. This hub
functioning since Nov-2023 its functioning with 7 Staffs and the main role of the district hub
empowerment o women crating the awareness were more the 10 women working place like
factories, schools, colleges, hospitals, Malls, Shops, govt and non govt organization, women
self-help groups, grama Shaba, at village and block level and more focusing were low girl child
birth ratio level our awareness about BBBP, Child Marriage act – 2006, ICC/LCC-Women at
work place harassment act- 2013, Domestic violence act – 2005, Dowry Act- 1961, senior citizen
act- 2007, Teenage pregnancy, and help line service such as a 181 -One stop centre, Child help
line- 1091, senior citizen- 14567 & 1253. Also, our hub team inspecting the women working
place, working women hostels and infrastructure.

Success Story of DHEW:

The success story of the district hub empowerment of women that after our awareness of
the internal complaint committee we received icc formation data from program conducted
factories nearly – 61 Private industries and 1 – Govt Hospital,Then Awareness conducted about BBBP and sexual harassment, good touch & bad touch,
child marriage, child education in a govt and private sectors schools and after our awareness
program so many girls are planed their higher education and pledge to BBBP stop child
marriage & teenage pregnancy.And Under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (Legal Awareness ) program was conducted with senior citizen in old age home with notary advocate while the program so many interaction between old age peoples and advocate, in this they feel better good and fulfilled their an endless questions. And so many benefits they had regarding this awareness program.
